Model United Nations is the official name given to the academic simulations of United Nations conferences. This activity aims to bring together young people from different parts of the world, with diverse profiles and aspirations, in order to develop oratory, public speaking and leadership skills through debates in English.
From adopting real United Nations procedures to addressing current issues affecting the international community, MUN conferences encourage high school students to think critically and rationally, learn about major issues affecting contemporary society, and express their ideas consistently and persuasively in front of others.
Being above all an educational project, MUNOB aims to inform young people about the importance of civic and social involvement and about the problems facing the international community.
The team organizing the conference is composed entirely of our students, who, under the guidance of a group of dedicated teachers and with the support of the school management, deal with this extensive management project.
MUNOB is an international conference with delegates coming from all around the world. Its journey started in 2011, being one of the very first successful initiatives to bring MUN type of conferences and trainings in Romania.
This is our motto and the mentality that guides us to progress and become better and better. Seeking to outdo ourselves and constantly evolve, we want to contribute to the education and development of young people who are responsible for our future.
